Production, Service and Trade Company POLMEX was established in 1990 as a limited liability company, building on a family-run business in the fruit and vegetable industry. At the time, it was one of the first companies in Poland engaged in the import of fresh fruit and vegetables. With passion and dedication, we continue to deliver top-quality products to Polish consumers. Our extensive experience in the fruit and vegetable sector, combined with our commitment to product excellence, has earned us a leading position in the market.

Over the course of more than three decades, the company has gained the trust of its customers by establishing a distribution network that includes six key branches across Poland, located in Warsaw, Katowice, Kraków, Wrocław, and Poznań. Thanks to these strategic locations, our products reach customers nationwide, ensuring freshness, quality, and customer satisfaction.

We place particular emphasis on ensuring the constant availability of our products, regardless of fluctuations in market conditions, while maintaining the highest quality and competitive pricing. We achieve this through high product turnover and long-term cooperation with trusted and reliable partners.

Over the past several years we have established strong relationships with a group of trusted suppliers from around the world. Depending on the seasonal availability of various products, our suppliers include major companies from Europe, both Americas, Africa, and Asia. In most cases, these are large producer groups operating under a single brand or organization.

Each month, we import over 200 truckloads of fruit and vegetables into Poland, and during peak trading periods, this number exceeds 300. All shipments are made exclusively using refrigerated trucks. Our logistics rely on our own transport fleet—comprising 50 refrigerated trucks for international haulage—as well as long-standing partnerships with reputable transportation companies.

The volume of imported fruit and vegetables continues to grow year by year. In 2002–2003, our imports amounted to approximately 40,000 tons. After Poland’s accession to the European Union, this figure rose significantly to 60,000 tons in 2004 and exceeded 70,000 tons by 2007. With each passing year, we proudly observe the steadily increasing demand for our imported range of products.

Our domestic customers consist primarily of supermarket and hypermarket chains, small and medium-sized intermediaries, as well as the traditional wholesale market serving the food service industry and retail clients. Recognizing their dynamic growth in Poland and their high expectations in terms of product quality, competitive pricing, and efficient logistics, we make every effort to ensure that POLMEX is seen as a reliable and attractive business partner.

The company’s central office is based in Nowy Sącz, where products are ordered and allocated to our individual branches and customers. Our warehouses are modern, refrigerated facilities in which fruit and vegetables are stored under strictly controlled temperatures tailored to the specific needs of each product category. Each branch functions as a regional logistics center, enabling us to fulfill orders quickly and efficiently while adapting our offerings to local preferences and market demands. Our total warehouse capacity amounts to approximately 12,500 square meters.
